It was a beautiful day to go painting with the TIFAA group in Gananoque on Thursday. Lovely weather and good company.

Another new painting for 'Before the Summer' (May 3, 4 and 5 at the Firehall Theatre in Gananoque)30/3/2019 I organized the TIFAA March Paint-In on March 28 in the beautiful hall in Maitland (thanks, Line!) All who attended had a good and a productive time!
A workshop I organized for TIFAA took place last week. Andrea Mossop taught us how to look at a painting that we would usually walk by, because 'It was not our style.' Using pictures that hang in the National Gallery, she showed us how to appreciate the skill of the artist in creating forces that hold our attention, and we will never dismiss 'old-fashioned' artists again. Thanks, Andrea, for your deep knowledge and for the skill with which you guided us through the paintings.
Yesterday I helped hang the 2018 TIFAA Show at the 1000 Islands Visitor Centre in Mallorytown Landing. It was a beautiful day, and fun to see the wonderful paintings my fellow members had created over the summer. The show will be on for two weekends, September 15 and 16 and September 22 and 23, from 10am to 5 pm each day. Hope to see you there (there will be food and music on the first Sunday afternoon.) Solange and I checked titles and paperwork for the paintings, and you can see my painting 'Thrillers, Fillers and Spillers' in the background.
